So you've never done a boudoir shoot and you have questions.
That's perfectly understandable.
Here are some of the more common questions I get asked for
those considering taking that next step towards becoming the
woman you were destined to be.
Can I Do a Boudoir Session at Any Age?
Beauty knows no age. Boudoir photography is designed to bring out the innate beauty that lives within us and only grows as we get older. So yes, you can do a Boudoir Photography Session at any age.
However, because of the intimate nature inherent in boudoir photography, my sessions are limited to those 18 years or older.
What Happens During a Boudoir Session?
Your Boudoir Session is tailored to you, the individual, to bring out your innate beauty and confidence and starts even before you step into the studio.
A pre-shoot consultation will be done where you and I get to know each other so we're not total strangers going into your Intimate Portrait Session. At this point we will discuss what you want to get out of the session. Is it for a specific occasion, a milestone, a way to regain confidence after a major life change? Do you want all the glamour and glitter or do you prefer a more minimalist, neutral look? What parts of your body do you consider your best or would prefer not to emphasise?
During the shoot, which can be considered more of a hang-out session, with treats and music to set the vibe (you can bring your own playlist or I can curate one specially for you), I will gently guided through poses that feel natural, comfortable and that I know would suit your body and personality best so no, you do not need to have any modeling experience. We can also try any poses that you think you would like to strike. Note that I would never put you in a pose that makes you feel physically or mentally uncomfortable. Each pose is done with your consent.
We take breaks, chat and take a look at some of the shots we've taken. I want you to feel like you're hanging out with a friend - relaxed, comfortable and in your element.
Remember, this session is about you and what makes you feel strong, sexy, beautiful and confident.
Will My Photos Stay Private?
Unless you sign a waiver for specific images of your choosing, then yes, all of your photos will stay private.
If you opt to have them printed, all prints are done outside of Trinidad and Tobago and governed by strict confidentiality clauses.
Any photo that would be shared on my Social Media pages or portfolio are only done so with your explicit consent for those specific photos of your choosing and no others
Can I Bring Someone With Me?
The focus of the Boudoir Photoshoot is on you. Unless the person you opt to bring will help you feel more relaxed and at ease, then it is preferred that you do the shoot on your own. However, if you do choose to have one (1) person with you, I reserve the right to ask the person to leave or cancel the shoot if the person or the environment becomes difficult to work with
How Long Does a Session Take?
Inclusive of outfit changes, a Boudoir Phot Shoot takes approximately 2 -3 hours. It can take a bit longer if makeup and hair is done on site.
